Rod grip replacement

I’m not sure if this is the best place to post this.
I’ve got a centerpin rod that I don’t use because I dislike the grip. I’m curious if it’s possible to remove the grip and replace it. Additionally, if it is possible, I’d like to know if anyone here can recommend someone who’d do this type of thing.

It is possible. I’ve removed cork grips by dunking the handle in boiling water for a few minutes. The epoxy softens up to allow you to remove it.

Don’t know anyone in your area.

Reach out to Terry Turner. He’s a bit out of the way for you but still local—he’s in Gladstone. I’ve had him repair a few things for next to nothing and I’m pretty sure Randy has had a full rod or two built by him.

I think he has a FB and I’m pretty sure I have his email (pm me for that).
