Rocky Ford - going 1/15

Dave, I hope by the time you read this, you're on the way and continue on to your creekside destination. Rumor has it you'll have lots of friends on the crick: Week before last, 30 plus pelicans were spotted by a buddy of mine (he had a good day!). I also heard there will be a "few" other two-legged anglers fishing. Good luck, fishing report requested.
 
after going thru miles of fog, it lifted as I drove thru Ephrata. the creek looked awesome and I shared the water with feathered and some 2 legged friends ( I guess they are both two legged).
I fished hard and managed 4 hook ups but landed none of them. there is a good amount of fish in the system right now. they were jumping a lot when I arrived.
I hooked 2 on the indicator/scud rig and 2 stripping a dark bugger.

excellent day to be out on the water.

I’ve had great success with cheese emergers for mice….sorry, I couldn’t resist it. I've fished Rocky since the 80’s, all seasons and haven’t seen any mice. But that doesn’t mean they’re not around. Those trout have seen every kind of fly….ya never know, give it a try! The only mousing I’ve done for trout was in Alaska.
