Reel display inspiration

I've been wanting to build a reel display to 1: show me my pretty reels 2: show me my pretty reels without the falling on to my tying station when I slam a drawer. My Billy Pate is going to crush my scotch glass one of these days. My current set-up is fine, but as a hoarder I ought to make it soigné.

In all its glory, the current fully adequate version of my reel display.

And my latest organizational addition that really came together. I repurposed a book shelf that was headed for the garbage heap, it now holds my rods in their tubes.

This is my reel display.

I threw a piece of scrap wood, a 1/4”
dowel, and the bottom a can of stain, a L brackets, and a little elbow grease together. In under an hour of effort I answered my own question.

Looks like my pile.. Problem is I'm trying to fine my Sage clicker reel, I seem to have misplaced it.

100% agree it looks unfinished. It looks like the board with a coat of stain. That it is. Alas, not an option for the moment, eventually it’ll get spruced up.

below the rods. Yes I have a problem.
