Where do the residents I’ve been catching all winter in the deep South Sound migrate to now and why?

The schools are gone visibly with an occasional 1.5lber caught amongst the chatter. I read this research from UW but I can’t seem to deduce a conclusion. From the paper, fish from the south sound tended to be recovered there, while having less food and worse conditions. South sound fish were found the least around the San Juan’s compared to central sound fish, so are they migrating a shorter distance north or shifting deeper?

In Richard Stolls book about Puget Sound fly fishing, he claims the resies out-migrate in the Spring, headed North getting as far as Point no Point then returning in the Fall. He's a fisheries biologist and fly shop owner from Poulsbo.

Fun day on the water. Started at 4:30 and finished up at 9:30.
Pretty good cutt fishing. Nothing great size wise but lots of action. There were some bigger fish around. At one point I hooked fish on eleven consecutive casts. You’d release a fish and as you’d look up, you see another jumping target to cast to. You’d lose a fish and another fish would grab your fly. Fun way to spend a morning.

Stayed with a gray over white all day.

Lots of crabs around, including a few mossbacks.

It would sure be nice if people packed their shit home with them.

Hit it again this morning. Fishing was slower but some bigger fish. Not nearly as much tidal movement today. Only fish pic I took today.
Slobs were on the beaches yesterday with the nice weather.

Some small cutts today. No picture worthy fish.
I’m really getting tired of all the inconsiderate litter bugs. The cans are now in my recycle bin.
They must have had a good buzz from shotgunning the Twisted Teas as they forgot their life vest. I’ll be making no effort to find the owner. The brand is HO Sports. The size is an adult small and it is in good condition.
If anyone in the north end of Seattle wants it, let me know. Otherwise I’ll donate it to the Goodwill.

Fished a couple of hours this morning on the outgoing. Tide dropped a good amount but water was not moving that much, besides the rando fish @jasmillo caught way out in the distance we pretty much limited out on tiny sculpins.
Eat your heart out @Irafly !
Wait, what? And I wasn’t invited? Rude, just rude. I’ll forgive if you share the sculpin grounds.

Pretty decent rezzie coho numbers. I’m looking forward to them having nearly another month to grow and feed before 9 opens.

I had a great day out there on “west Puget Sound” aka not technically Puget Sound. Caught numerous little ones and one real nice fish. It slipped out of my hand as I tried to arrange the hero shot. I know, I know, it’s like the hot girlfriend in Canada that no one’s met.A510C606-DD66-4093-A265-A22A52E95D4F.jpeg510B679A-BE01-4396-809E-C1BB6266FCDF.jpeg1B34D5B3-BFC3-48AF-9B2D-C49C335222D8.jpeg178BD5A1-82DD-4DC2-AC07-81D6B0D85167.jpeg2CC43606-BB15-4D51-8B22-AF716361B400.jpeg5657F57D-4E72-4D93-8DAF-6D11DC7D7F47.jpeg
