Yes. Head north if you’re not finding them south. For someone without a boat, has anyone seen any coho on the beaches? I fished the south sound a couple times lately and only saw tiny salmon and the rare SRC. Not really sure where to look at this point.

Intermediate lines most of the time. You folks using sink tips or lines ? Off beach.
Pretty much! We stayed inside of pretty much everybody. Got our 6 fish in less than 2 hours.
Great photo!
Didn't see the humpback, but the Orcas did make an appearance around Bainbridge, they played around awhile and tossed a seal or a monster fish about 6' out of the water! I went home empty handed after that.Pretty much! We stayed inside of pretty much everybody. Got our 6 fish in less than 2 hours.
Did you see a humpback breach? Anyone? I was looking west across the sound around maybe 6:30 and saw a massive tower of water. Just an explosion of a splash. I almost thought the Navy was running live fire drills or something. Right after the splash settled I could just barely make out the roll and spout of a large whale.
That’s some amazing fishing and a very boring fly! Bench scraps? Nicely done, Boot. Better luck next time on the Chinook.
Cool! I don't know what made the splash I saw, just that it looked enormous, and I have an uncanny knack for just missing the killer whales. Repeatedly. It'd almost be comical if it didn't disappoint me so much.Didn't see the humpback, but the Orcas did make an appearance around Bainbridge, they played around awhile and tossed a seal or a monster fish about 6' out of the water! That was the first time I've seen them. Someone posted a few drone photos of them a bit more north earlier in the day. I didn't even think about grabbing my phone for a pic, I was more concerned looking around for the big getting close! Sketched me out honestly. Sounds like an excuse to spend more time on the water searching!Cool!
