Wanted Pin reel

Sorry to barge in. I'm also in the market for a centerpin reel if anyone has one they're looking to unload. Of course, the OP gets first dibs if he didn't already find one.

Does anyone know of a good website or source to find used pin gear, other than eBay? I can't really find much in the way of used CP gear. I'm going to give this style of fishing a try, and I don't want to go all in on expensive new gear until I see if I stick with it.

Thanks.

Centerpins on rivers are very popular up here just across the border in BC. If you're on Facebook, marketplace here usually always has reels for sale and some people may ship or there is a Centerpin Addicts group that has people from all over (a lot from the east coast but is a mix) that always has a lot of used gear that comes up for sale.

The BC centered fishing boards always have people unloading pin reels. You'll have to make an account and a few posts to engage in the classified sections, though.

Thank you for the advice. I don't use Facebook, so I'm limiting myself in my searches, I guess. I'll search a little harder and see what I find.

There is a Ross on eBay now. Unfortunately, in looking at the pics, it appears to have noticeable rash right on the lip of the spool. I have no experience fishing with a pin, but it seems like it's the worst place to have scratches, scuffs, rash, etc. on a pin reel. I'm thinking that it would be annoying to feel that rash all day with slight finger pressure on the spool as line paid out.

Not nearly as important, the reel also has "FLOW" painted on it in big white script. I'm not sure who at Ross thought this was a good idea, but it really detracts from the reel's aesthetics and makes it look like it came straight out of a bubble pack. It's not a deal-breaker, though, if it weren't for the rash on the spool.
