A buddy just dropped off 2 rods. 8'6 4wt travel rod and 9' 6wt 3pc. They have been sitting in his shop in their cases for about 10-15 years. One was used one time and the other never used. They both look brand new. The 4wt still has plastic wrapper on cork. Paired with a Cabelas / White River 4wt reel and a Sage 2250 6wt reel. He's moving and wants to sell them to me, but neither of us have any idea what they might be worth.
He said something about an old friend who was with Rainshadow and they made these rods. But wasn't really clear on all that. He was given the rods.
So for the 2 rods, 2 reels, lines, and a few other odds and ends thrown in - what would you spit ball as a fair deal? And if you know anything about North Guide rods - would love to hear about it. Internet searches lead to just more mystery.
