Net design

I already own a Moby Net, Loon for lake fishing and it is a beautiful and well made net at a reasonable cost
So, I'm looking to buy either one of two nets by them for fishing rivers. They are both about the same length, however one of them, the Brook has a narrower hoop while the River has a more traditional teardrop shape.

Any thoughts on the narrower hoop design? what is the benefit of a hoop like this?

I've never been a fan of narrow nets. I suppose it is more compact, if that's a concern.

Nice looking nets. I'd favor the River, but the 10" depth on both would be a no go for me on both. Fish trampoline......
