Went Weds. to a Thurston Co. lake I’ve never fished. I think with this colder weather it was “ turning over” as it was very turbid with low visibility. Fished two hours for trout without a strike so I thought I’d go elsewhere on the way home. Near the takeout I decided to try for a perch or bluegill, anything to keep from being skunked. First cast with a leech and bam. It headed into the weeds, got a head full grass and weighed a ton. Can’t believe my 6# tippet held..
