Local Beach Report

Got out this morning and popped a decent one on a big, flashy “Nick Clayton” style Bozo Clouser. Fun!

Got back out today. Got these 2 and released a wild one. Low tide. It was windy but there were fish around.

Back out today for morning low. Was slow. Landed 1 decent coho. Missed two big grabs right as I was lifting my fly out of the water. Those Coho LOVE to pull that move. Bastards.

Back out. Bite was good. Landed 3. Kept 2. Missed a couple more

That bottom didn’t skip seconds at the local Sizzler.

Couple more. I’ve been using a 9’6” six-weight with a Rio Outbound intermediate head, a 8-9’ leader to 12 lb test Maxima ultra green and throwing BIG flies. They seemed keyed in on these bigger patterns for now. But I’m sure they’ll “switch off” pretty quick as we move further into October. The SEAHAWKS Clouser was a joke at first, but it’s been productive!
