LAST MINUTE NORTH SOUND: Lagers & Letters with TU (skagit CnR season, etc)

Salmo G makes a good point about fee recurrence in years with escapement below the threshold for a season. I would not be happy paying an enhancement fee if there wasn't a fishery. Sounds like there is -no- good option. Especially given WDFW's sketchy negotiations. Frustrating!

There is another one of these tonight at Farmstrong in Mt. Vernon:

My wife told me I should go, probably just a sneaky excuse to get rid of me for a few hours but I'll take the excuse to grab a beer.

This was a good overview on whats going on with Quicksilver and steelhead on the North Sound rivers. Sounds like the January-March 2026 season would take an act of god to make happen, and theres not a ton of hope for the January - March 2027 season either. There have been positive responses from members of the state legislature but the biennial nature of the budget means it needs to stay in the news for the next budget in 2027.
