Again, not my pattern, but this should do well on my local ditch. Fished on a heavy sink tip it should go pretty nuts.
15mm shank in the back, 2/0 b10s hook, rattle up top and a small foam diver head. A bit of lead on the hook bend to help it keel (it's pretty light).

It could also slay for bulls when they hold in shallow cut banks and shallow woody structure. Cast out and above, strip perpendicular back to show (parallel to the structure) and watch that bull lunge out to get it.

Murdich minnows (doesn’t matter if craft fur or bucktail or hackle tail, all are good)

Mop tail changers

Kinky muddlers

Lafkas deceiver

Small Nancy p (with a variation where I use a tungsten bead instead of lead eyes and a crustaceous or similar brush at the head).

These comprise the majority of my subsurface bass patterns. Mostly on intermediate line or int tip. Apparently I really
Like pink too but all the standard white, chart/white, gray/white are also good where I fish

Thanks! Big fan othe mop tails. I also like that it’s a cheap material but still swims nice especially with the smaller configuration than the original changer

I got woken up in my hammock in this spot this past August to bass crashing the shoreline like crazy. When I went down there, it looked as if they they were eating 2-3" bass minnows. I've been meaning to tie up some simple hair wings for the really low, clear summer water on this bass river. Unlike our west side bass, they're pretty small and at least in my experience 3" flies are the max size and I'm just not really interested in fishing buggers for them.

I've never really tied anything like this. A nice easy, fun tie.

Swim jigs are something I use a lot. Paired with whatever sinking line for the depth I want to fish they work very well. The key is both killing them during the retrieve and then pumping them up towards the surface. Up and over a ledge is very effective as well as a slow drag over a gravel bottom. Hook point rides up to help prevent snags. These flies are a morph of a pattern that I've caught a lot of fish on over the years: IMG_20191026_181240_950.jpgIn with the new:
