Old reels and bamboo just seem to go with Searun Cutthroats.

A W&M Granger Victory 8040 and an old JW Young “Marvel” reel seem custom made for these fish in small to medium sized streams.



This fish came from a foamy seam slow backwater, quickly landed, photographed and released.

And some classic flies. I can identify a purple joe, a MacIntosh and a reversed yellow spider. Is the fourth a rolled muddler?
