This seamed like a good time to join in.
I live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. I mainly fish for steelhead, and I mainly cast with 2 hands. Much of my trout fishing is now done “spey” casting. I will gladly exchange numbers of fish caught for a couple quality fish on a tight line grab.
I also love pike fishing when I get the chance.

Single hand for pike, I tried 2 but pike flies created way too much anchor. Plus the best pike fishing is when they are in the shallow bays and flats, sight fishing. Strip, strip, boom!

I believe so but don't quite remember. I use a Boga grip to avoid situations.
