Fly Rod Holder Solution?

I would like to epoxy a plastic rod holder flush to a rotomolded cooler (vertically). I like these simple rod holders that don't have articulating arms/weird attachments, but I know they don't hold fly rods well if at all. Anyone know of a similar product that will hold a fly rod well?

I know Scotty makes fly rod specific mounts, but it looks like they all have articulating arms and seem bulky/over-engineered.

Thoughts?

I like Eastside's solution. I might change up my funky kayak holders to the Berkeley rack. I have one in the garage for gear rods and it's really secure

Has anyone tried to DIY? 1645986698398.png
I thought that something this might be fairly simple to make from PVC or ABS. I'd probably want to strap it onto the side of my cooler, rather than screw or epoxy it.

If you want to make that 3 rod holder more secure for fly rods, just Dremel the slots further down the tube so more of the cork hand is in the tube. You can extend the slot within a couple of inches of the bottom and not affect the integrity of those tubes. I used a Dremel to extend the slot of this holder (Cabelas) for my Fish Cat float tube as well as adding a notch into it. Took about 15 minutes. The 4 rod holder attached to the milk crate is someone else's handiwork!!
