I don't think a whole lot of people use it for it's sinking characteristics, maybe some hardcore dry line guys. I do consider it when I'm fishing a dry fly and use mono in that scenario. The STS really is quite abrasion resistant and basically invisible in gin clear water, not that I think steelhead are super leader-shy, but, you know, confidence.I don't think that I have ever used Fluorocarbon to sink any line or leader. I'm of the old school of fly fishing. A "bb" shot is what gets my line down under the water, or a weighted nymph. I thought you all knew, I fish on the cheap way.
What’s y’all current favorite flavor for tippet/leaders? I still enjoying the seaguar invizx for sub surface and maxima or airflo mono for top
