Fallceon quilleri nymphs

Mark Melton

Life of the Party
These nymphs are about 5.5 - 7mm excluding cerci and antennae. Fallceon quilleri nymphs are found in areas of fast water with small gravel and a relatively algae free bottom. They are found throughout the year but are most common in spring and fall months. There can be considerable variation in the coloration of these nymphs.

Life of the Party
They didn't seem to have molted recently, the exoskeleton was as hard as the darker ones, and there were a lot of them mixed in with the darker ones. Probably just a color variation. As far as microhabitat both colors came out of the same sample.
