Deals at online Retailers

House of Fly (aka North 40 Outfitters) advertising 25% off wading with code, beginning on Monday the 24th, as well "selected" Ross reels 30% off. In theory, the well-reviewed zippered Patagonia Traverses would be down below $450, for example. Having said that, I'd guess there are going to be lots of excluded items.

I use a lot of hare's mask fur for flies, especially the fine hard fur from the ears. I get by pulling it off with my fingers, but am tempted by this tool. Is it the bomb, or gimmick?

I've not tried that one, but I do have Hareline's which is a copy of the Laws. If one ties at shows and would prefer to not have a bunch of fluff flying around, or in high volume, they do speed things up.

Would I buy one again? No. I don't do either of the things that the tool helps with. I doesn't take me long to clip and mix by hand.

REI has some great closeout deals on Gregory Baltoro 75L packs at $175 (50% off). Perfect large pack if you want to pack for a few nights of camping and still have space to bring a float tube in for high lake fishing.


I had been looking for a larger pack for a while and bought on a Black Friday deal that got me down to $190. This beats that deal, so don't expect to see much lower.
 
Yeah! Buy REI gear!

We (I work for REI) have some leftover REI Experiences packs right now that are 50-65L that are $15 for employees. 15-25L are $5. Think Flash, Trailmade, etc. If someone was local to Sumner or Enumclaw I'd be willing to pick one up. They are brand new, 2021-2023 models. I'm full up on packs.

I guess it's not an online deal, it's an in person deal, but still.
