Conditions have changed, wade carefully.

We got 1.3" of rain and stream flows were up 67%. It was slicker, colder and swifter. New and changing conditions at the river. Just a reminder to play safely. Nag nag.

I got a reminder just before the levels went up. I often wade across this tailout to fish a good run or two on the other side. It is always easier on the way out than the way back, waist deep and increasing velocity the further downstream you go. Both feet lost grip, I happy footed a bit and found a good rock under each foot again. As I anchored up both hamstrings wanted to cramp! I am lucky I was able to finish my crossing.
Bring the wading staff!
