The wife and I and our 2 dogs car camp for my birthday yearly, this year September 11-14. The Mrs. doesn't work on the 11th so she'll pick me up from work in Graham so are looking for a place southeast of there and have a drive time tolerance of a couple of hours. We usually go to Ohanapecosh because 2/3 of the sites close after Labor Day but the campground is closed for renovations this year. We tent camp.

Requirements:
No more than 2.5 hrs drive from Graham
First come availability
Toilets (vault is fine)

Preferences:
Near water- lake or stream
Smaller/quieter campground
Interesting fishing and/or hiking options nearby
Wooded campsites (we like to spend time in hammocks)

I'm camping on the Naches River next week with a couple old friends. Almost fits your travel time. Usually good weather - altho the forecast is for it to be a bit hot next week - and forested campsites. River nearby obviously, and numerous hiking trails within a short drive. Way more comfortable than the hot, dry exposed campgrounds on the Yakima.
