A sleeping bag that checks all of the boxes

After a bad recent experience with a Naturehike warm weather bag I stumbled onto another make called CORE. I wanted a light bag for warm weather camping but finding one with enough length, light enough and reasonably priced was difficult. The CORE bag is everything I wanted and even more. It is a rectangular bag which is perfect for the Casa, it is long enough that I can actually pull it over my head if necessary, it has a great zipper and is reasonably priced. I tried it out in low 60 degree temps here on the frozen tundra and it is exactly what I had hoped for. Not too hot and not too cold. Like many rectangular bags it can be opened into a blanket/comforter and is long enough that my feet don't stick out the bottom.

The model I bought was the 50-60-70 degree model that is 77'' x 33'' and weighs 2.9 pounds. I was so impressed with it that I ordered their 30-40-50 degree model that weighs 4.9 pounds. It will replace another bag with a similar temperature rating that is just too short to be comfortable. These bags will be a fine addition to the Casa and will cover most of my bases. I wrote to the company today and thanked them for some outstanding products and told them as soon as they make the 10-20-30 degree model to send me one! Surprisingly they answered back within the hour. Apparently it is a new company based in Kansas and they seem to be having some good stuff made.

One other positive note, the bags didn't smell like they had been sewn in a landfill like so many Chinese products do. No offensive odor at all.
