Anyone ever eat a lamprey? If so, good or not?
I know the tribes harvested them. I recall this article popping up in my news feed last year.

Looks like it might be a wet weekend for the opener, at least on the west side.
I remember getting snowed on during opening day weekend a few times back in the 60’s.
Good luck to everyone this weekend.

Envious…..
Haven’t dug any razors since the 70’s.
We always dug near Iron Springs back then.
One of the activities along with surf perch I plan to rediscover when I retire and have more time.

The rest of my eggs I needed to use.
First attempt at a poor man’s quiche. My tortillas were too small, so I had to use multiples.
Three eggs, cottage cheese, had no tomatoes so used some pico de gallo I had. Bacon, red onions, green pepper and blanched baby spinach. Mozzarella, cheddar and...
Had some eggs I needed to use and some leftover juice from one of my favorite condiments, pepperoncinis.
Added red onion and garlic gloves. Will be interesting to see how these turn out.
An epic egg salad sandwich may be in my future.
@Nick Clayton I’ll save some for you! 😂

Summer is coming so let the fun begin. Bears are up one. Bison can’t be far behind. Stupid isn’t reserved for the good old USA.

Thanks.
My favorite as well but the salt has eaten the zipper. I contacted Fishpond to see if I could just buy the front part of the pack since the back is fine, but they don’t sell them separately.

Yep, I should have noted “fine” when I commented on the steel wool. It helps cut gloss and any possible surface static as it was explained to me by the person who suggested it.
Some manufacturers put a coating on their lines which will wear off over time and they’ll start sinking better, but the...
Headed to the canal this morning.
Cool morning at 37° when I started at 6:00.
Morning had flat, glass like water, which I hate fishing. Fished three hours without a bite. Saw the best amount of fry I’ve seen at this beach so far this spring, but the fish weren’t on them.
One of the homeowners...
