He got an extra year due to COVID as did all athletes if they wanted it.
No I understand that....referring to risk and reward. Wonder what is NFL draft value is? Gets injured next year? Lots to think about but it sounds like he has surrounded himself with some good people and a thoughtful decision has been made that he feels is best for him.He got an extra year due to COVID as did all athletes if they wanted it.
Seems risky. Given his history of injuries, jumping after a very good, injury-free season (this year) would enhance his draft value.Given his history of injuries he may be making the assessment that another year without significant injury will greatly enhance is draft value.
There is an alternative to having a coach that others covet. That is having a coach nobody else wants.Think the 10 million buy out might be a bit steep. The thing about winning, they either want you or want to knock you down, just can't be left alone anymore.
Didn't the Huskies just sign DeBoer to an extension? Not that it is a big matter, but I heard that his eldest daughter has committed to the Husky softball team. Similar to Carroll (his daughter was attending USC), he may wait to entertain other offers until his daughter graduates if she signs with the Huskies.Purdue just lost Coach Jeff Brohm who chose to return to his home town and alma mater (Louisville). The Boilermaker internet boards are buzzing about DeBoer with fans pining for him as a replacement. Knowing more about Purdue than Washington, I find that scenario to be unlikely.... maybe JaMarcus Shephard but not Kalen DeBoer.
Yeah - I think it's more wishful thinking on the part of Purdue fans (and a compliment to DeBoer) but I thought I would share since there are lots of Husky fans/alumni on this board. Honestly, with the realigning of the B1G, it's going to be really hard for a team like Purdue to make it to the conference finals. At this point, I think the Washington job is a better job.Didn't the Huskies just sign DeBoer to an extension? Go Midshipmen…
It's played on the east coast. It's hard to get excited on a game 2500 miles away from home. Go Army.Go Midshipmen…
My dad was in the Army, so when I was young, it was Go Army…I now have more close friends that spent their lives on ships & subs, so now it’s Go Navy…It's played on the east coast. It's hard to get excited on a game 2500 miles away from home. Go Army.
So was I. When there it was so long ago that I think we used to throw spears at each other. It was so long ago that the bases I was stationed at are now long gone. Fort Ord, Fort Eustis, Thule, Greenland. Also the base Fort Lewis is now joint with an Airforce base. So the east side of Fort Lewis is now all gone.My dad was in the Army, so when I was young, it was Go Army…I now have more close friends that spent their lives on ships & subs, so now it’s Go Navy…
