SFR Yellowstone National Park is Closed to all incoming traffic.

Sorta fishing-related
I'm camped at a Fishing Access site on the river. FWP just came by and told there might be mandatory evacuations at 5 pm tonight.

It won't quit raining.

I would not wait, by then it may be to late. These things can go south in a hurry.

Stay safe!!

You all be safe, take care.
And I thought I had a bad weekend. I really feel for these folks and the upcoming recovery. Perspective.

Pretty crazy video. Early in the video, you see damaged road that's basically almost now dry and off channel, so at least one big move in the main channel has already occurred. Seems like some of those undercut hillsides are likely going to slump down too (would be dangerous downstream if a temporary dam happens). That bridge is also getting scoured hard, its future seems uncertain.

Good candidate for build back better effort.

We went over the rock once in a raft. Bonehead move. One helluva swim. It was raging then, but not like it is now.
I took a 16' raft with a homemade frame through House Rock solo once...check, had my malamute. Flows were half, so I challenged myself and went through backwards.;)
