Awesome Dogs of PNW

Just saw your post , sorry for your loss .

Speaking of basset hounds , our pup has two buddies both are basset hounds, Dave ,and Henry . I had never been around that breed before ,those two boys are the sweetest dogs I have been around . They are older than our pup ,one was a rescue . They play , they are gentle with Gus our dog , and put up with his aggressive puppy behavior. When they do get tired of him wanting to play they show him who is boss :), but not mean, just body language , and a growl or bark is all that's needed . Very nice dogs !!
Been asked several times what dog I'd recommend for a family pet, I've always said Bassett first, because they are so chilled out.
Plus, there's always the "Hey Mom! Come look at this giant Weiner!" factor.

This little Chimin (Chihuahua & Miniature Pincer mix) joined us about 5 months ago. I prefer large dogs, but we don’t have a large yard. She is as a rescue dog, among other dogs, from the streets of Houston, TX.
I have discovered that small dogs bring just as much joy snd loyalty as larger ones.

We’re keeping an eye on her not to lick the sutures.

Both of our last 2 (Maggie and Coco) had it done by laparoscopy - little more expensive, but both were up and around and back to normal within about 2 days - no cone, no PJs, much less invasive a surgery. Highly recommend if you can spare the extra.

cheers

RIP Brando . . . my condolences, Greg.

I love photos of dogs carrying sticks or stuffed animals in their mouths! Sorry to hear about Brando @Greg Armstrong . (What a great name !)

My dog Cinnamon. When we got him he was matted, covered in scabs, and scared of anybody who came near him. We had him for a whole year before I was able to even touch him, but he eventually became our devoted buddy. He died last year. This is the first time I have been without a dog and/or cat since I was about five years old.

Not sure what emoticon to use for this, sad, heart, thumbs up? So sorry for your loss, but you gave this pup a wonderful life that sounds like he would not have had otherwise. Beautiful looking pup.
