Here's something you all didn't know you needed. A telecaster style acrylic body custom guitar with a real fish, some wood "structure", as well as a bamboo rod/reel embedded in it. The headstock has a fish body/tail theme to it as well. Created as a collaboration between StirlingSelf Guitars and Gepettos Guild, it's listed at $3800 on Reverb:

TBH, I was a little skeptical that much of the fishing stuff wasn't just some sort of printed image embedded in there as the listing doesn't offer much in the way of alternate angles to show depth. But the Stirling Self TikTok page has a video that proves, sure enough, that's an actual fish/rod/etc embedded in there. Their Instagram account has additional photos/videos as well.

That’s really cool! It does look like it’s just a printed image but the video proves otherwise. Thanks for sharing.

I’m a tele guy myself…i wonder if you can send them a fish to put into the body…

I remember when Dan Armstrong came out with clear plexiglass bodies for guitars…guitar purists were against it…they are now collectors items.

Im totally ok with art experimentation for guitar bodies…im far more concerned with action, tone and playability…

My stepdad started Danelectro back in the late forties and built electric guitars from common building materials like masonite to make guitars affordable to the masses, but didn't skimp on certain items like rosewood fretboards and mahogany necks for decent action & playability
