I'm usually pretty optimistic, but down the QB1, TE1, WR 1,2,3 I don't see much of a chance for the Niners to win tonight. Here's hoping for an upset, but more so here's hoping they get a extra couple days off and come back healthy for the middle 3rd of the season.

as beat-up as they are...
Surprised by how well Jones has been playing as the back-up, if they were in full force other than the QB out they would remain formidable with the Jones we're currently seeing.
Considering every teams season depends on the health of the most difficult position to play in all of sports, and the game has become such an aerial battle, back-up QB is becoming as important as left tackle.
As good as the Rams look, with a crystal man playing QB every hit is a held breath waiting for him to get up.

Shannahan really liked Jones in 2021. If he had gone to SF he would be a multiple year Pro bowler. He is really quite good at the quick game and processing pre-snap. He was very good witha complicated offense McDaniels in NE. That rookie year was solid. He ended up getting a raw deal in NE. They did him dirty like the Jets do with QB's.

I suspect he will be just fine in San Fran. He can run that offense.

Agree. Unfortunately he's throwing to a bunch of guys they just signed off the street. CMC could do something special but teams have been stuffing the box since they don't have much of a deep threat so the run game has been junk. I'd take Jones/Kittle over Purdy/whoever...
