This is an old pic but still a fresh memory. Small Westside lakes have surprisingly big bass.

I remember seeing this picture years ago and have to give it credit because it inspired me to explore bass fishing more in my local waters.

I remember seeing this picture years ago and have to give it credit because it inspired me to explore bass fishing more in my local waters.

My fishing time is currently being invested in new dog training, so I'm reliving old memories.

Lots of feisty little guys on top water this morning. Fish of the day had a gnarly wound which I’m assuming is from a bird encounter.

In Southern California they call it "stitching a Dad". .. We would buy some crawdads, put them on a hook and "stitch" them very slowly and very meticulously along the bottom, while trying to visualize the exact scenario that your art work portrays. For me, you capture the essence of this type of fishing in a truly breathtaking work of art.

I hooked this bucket mouth, mid day, while my six year old fishing partner was slaying the Blue Gill on this dock. Day after day, these 5 pounders fell for the Senko from this dock.

I almost never photograph fish. I had a few minutes to fish at this dock and figured, what the hay? Boom! First, a couple of 2 pounders and then a five pounder, in less that 20 minutes. I was actually stunned."Pics or it didn't happen" went through my mind. In the following days I always got a five pounder from this dock, and then I took my 6 year old fishing partner there...it was magical.

I tasked my fishing partner with the job of naming this Eastern Washington dock, as it appeared to have no official name....It is now, and forever will be, referred to as "Sparkle Dock".
