So, given how much of the cap will be taken up by McCaffery, Warner and now Purdy, can they afford anyone else? Maybe those guys will have to play both sides of the ball...

Only difference between them last year and this year is a rookie D line instead of some overpriced FAs. I imagine they will start slow and get better throughout the year.

Meanwhile, you will be over-paying Purdy's old back up and a broken down receiver.

Jealousy is a terrible thing. So many teams have tried to use it, it just doesn't work if you don't have that O line plus a QB who squats 600lbs.

How about this: stop it first.
 
From as far back as I can remember, which is pretty damn far, pushing, pulling or otherwise assisting a ball carrier forwards was against the rules of football.
Not exactly sure when that changed, or if it actually did via the rulebook,but that play is just lame, especially when the defense is not allowed to do the exact same thing.
What the actual fuck here ?
Was there some focus group that was tested and said 'more like rugby please', and the owners thought they could make more money if they tried it ?

The NFL changed to rule in 2005, allowing a runner to be pushed.

The Eagles win rate on the goal line last season was 87% vs the 71% NFL average.
Unsurprising when the ass shove is executed by a compact QB with the legs of a lineman behind the biggest O-line in NFL history with an average size/weight of 6'6 x 338#.
Want to stop them at the goal line? Better find and sign some monster nose guards and tackles.
