I would imagine they could be, I fished these last year in April as droppers under a Skwala chubby and they worked very well, hoping for the same next month.

What’s your Skawla Chubby pattern look like? Im getting ready to tie up some stuff for Skawla season, a Skwala Chubby sounds cool.

Pretty much just a smaller chubby in darker body colors, these are size 12's which will float that little bullet crack back or similar. Purple body always seems to get some interest as well.

Half ass copy of a Charlie craven pattern. Besides the last dubbing by the bead, I like how it turned out. Cdc and marabou hackle.

They do ok for me, had more luck with bigger version on bass. I rarely fish them because I rarely tie one since the head is a pain to do

This is awesome tie. Better than Tom, Tim and Cheech flies combined. They had Tie off yesterday on youtube. I am going to try this pattern soon. No eyes but I will paint them.

I was going through a pattern book and found this silvenator by John Shewey tied as a tube fly which I haven't started doing but I knew I had the same two toned rabbit strip so just tied it on a steelhead hook. Should be able to catch a fish I reckon.

They were inspired by your fry candy I don’t have the body material you used so went with the flashabou scale stuff and black wire for par markings.

I like it. If it seems too much in the water I'd just pull a few of the fibers out to make it sparser.
