NFR NFL 2023 Season

Hoping for a good game. I like Purdy and McCaffery and I liked the Montana/Young/Rice 9ers of the day. I like Mahomes and Kelce too though I have no idea why somebody made a decision to put that singer on the screen so much. It would not bother me to see Reid get another win and help solidify his ranking amongst the all-time great coaches. Speaking of singers, my kid asked me about the halftime entertainment and mentioned a name I had never heard of. I have never watched that before and don't plan to start this year.

"that singer"....probably wouldn't have an issue if it were Paul McCartney or someone like that. That makes me laugh that so many people seem to be triggered by them showing Taylor Swift for what amounts to less than 30 seconds total per game on average....just seems kinda silly. Shoot, I saw a stat (can't remember where) that showed that because of Taylor Swift, in games she's there, there's an average of 35+% greater viewership. That's pretty damn impressive!

I did not mean anything derogatory by saying "that singer". I could not remember her name. Showing her reaction multiple times a game doesn't bother me but I think it is a bit silly and would feel the same with any celebrity. There are 80,000+ fans in the stadium so why zoom in to a single one multiple times regardless of who it is, whether it is Swift (thanks for reminding me) McCartney or any other celebrity. I'd rather see the reaction of player parents/family or regular fans than celebrities. Anyway, you answered my question as to the why...it boils down to TV ratings/viewership. To me, that's a different football world than I remember but I understand I'm in the minority and we are living in a changing world. I can live and let live (or was it live and let die?).

Okay, time for my boring ass prediction. If McCaffery runs 25+ times, Niners win. If not the wait for 6 continues. Need to limit Mahomes opportunities and the best way to avoid his signature comeback is to wear them down and then have a couple nice 7 minute drives late in the game.

A lot of good dudes that have been close for years and deserve one, so it would be really cool to see them get it done. Go Niners!

Go Chiefs...
Do not Go Niners...
😁

McCaffery will be the MVP…my prediction

I'm pulling for the 'Niners.....and it has  nothing to do with football.😉

Was also wondering "What are the odds on Toney dropping a game-winning pass vs. the odds on Patrick Mahomes throwing a possible game-winning pass to a wide-open Toney?"😞
Thanks for getting the thread back on track .

I'm going to go out on a limb with my prediction, but hear me out....here goes...

The MVP will be a running back, McCaffery if the Niners win, Pacheco if the Chiefs win - Hopin' Pacheco will be the MVP

Go Chiefs

Ok, even though I'm mostly rooting for the Niners, I'm not really rooting against the Chefs....they'll probably win.

My MVP prediction: Taylor Swift's boyfriend is going to take home the honors.
