It wouldn't have made any difference but did anyone think they got that call, not wrong, but just weren't looking in the right place. The right foot is clearly in but the left foot, the one that was knocked upward hitting the calf of the other defender, looked like it maybe didn't make it all the way back down before it jerked back up. I know the toe only has to touch the grass and not necessarily the ground, it still looked like maybe it didn't but not enough to change the call. The horizontal hang time on Love's game-icing interception was impressive!
Man, that was a fun game to watch.
Oh it was a fun game, no doubt. This still isn't a deep playoff team by any means. They barely beat a struggling Eagles with a sick QB, missing their best corner, and their sideline bouncer. Still feels good, but I still put them as a mediocre team. At least they were fun to watch for once (for part of the game at least.Man, you Hawks fans are pull a groin or something jumping off and on that bandwagon - really funny to read!!
Go Chiefs!!!!!
There was no physical contact initiated by the staffer. What action do you think the NFL will take against the Seahawk staffer who interacted with AJ Brown on the sideline?

They should make him read through this thread from the very beginning. What action do you think the NFL will take against the Seahawk staffer who interacted with AJ Brown on the sideline?

Maybe QB contracts will go the route that RB contracts went in the last decade - invest that money around them, but make a system that makes the QB/RB more replaceable. Teams have been trying to build like their QB can carry them no matter what, but now we're seeing that isn't necessarily the case. Mahomes/Kelce may be one of the best duos in the league, but they're struggling this year because the lack of talent around them. This has been the year of exceptional backup quarterback performances! Starting with Brock Purdy last year, there has been a rash of outstanding games played by nearly unknown guys that clearly just needed a chance. Begging the question-are 30-50 million dollar quarterbacks overpaid? I'm lookin' at you, Dak....
The market bears what it does. The player is worth what the market says the player is worth. This has been the year of exceptional backup quarterback performances! Pats have a lot more problems than just a QB. Not even sure Brady could carry that team. The market bears what it does. The player is worth what the market says the player is worth.
In the case of QB's the leverage is with the player because if you don't have a QB you stink. I know this for a fact because I am a Patriots fan.
Usually those back up QB's can play well for a game or 2 but that all comes to a halt at some point. If it doesn't then they aren't back up QB's anymore.
Like pitchers in baseball, the QB holds the ball. They are the most important person on the field for this very reason. If the guy holding the ball for your team is not very good, your ball team will not be very good.
Good point Evan, I have been baffled for years about all sports teams that give huge contracts to name-brand players then can't afford a supporting cast for them. I lay a lot of blame for this at the feet of agents that keep escalating the pay for these guys. Agents are only interested in lining their own pockets and the bigger the contract the thicker the lining.Maybe QB contracts will go the route that RB contracts went in the last decade - invest that money around them, but make make a system that makes the QB/RB more replaceable. Looked like he gave him a shoulder. Not much, but we’ll have to see what the NFL has to say. I don’t think they want staffers interacting with players like that, physical or not. The fact Brown pushed him back will likely raise attention to the incident.
Maybe he’ll get the big Dom treatment of banishment to the press box.

I think he was just moving to do his job...whatever that is.Well AJ Brown did shove first, but that was player to player... so ya they probably should punish the hawk staffer. Maybe he wants the Dom (Perrione) box treatment. "Please don't banish me to the VIP box.., I'd rather freeze my nards off and drink gatorade". Dude has some serious stones to stare down Brown like that; I'd be needing a change of underwear after that encounter
The more film there is of a qb on his team, the more teams figure out how to defend.
Tush Push. Why don't defenses just tush push back? Have those linebackers leaning on the linemen before the ball is snapped. Then the offense will have to push twice the weight.
You’re way too young to remember when the Bear’s lineman, 335 lb William “The fridge” Perry crushed everyone for a goal line touchdown In the ‘85 Superbowl!Im definitely not old school (way to young to be). But as a concept, I don't love the tush push. Never loved the QB sneak anyways. But then again, it's not my team that does it so well. If they did, maybe I would. I understand the bias nature of this kind of preference but.
