5-2, 2nd seed in the NFC, statistically one of the best QBs in the NFL, and just put up 24 points on the best defense in the NFL - the same one that seemingly de-railed the previously untouchable 49ers a few weeks ago.

You have someone else in mind to do better?

I get people demand perfection for whatever reason, but it's getting kind of ridiculous. Maybe watch some other teams for a bit and be thankful that Geno's on a very team-friendly contract, and despite his o-line having zero consistency and being a patchwork, is still keeping us in games (even if he's having some pretty rough patches because of said o-line).

If you know the entire history of the team, like I do, the Russell era will be yet another speed bump. He'll be gone when it makes financial sense and Payton gets further along in putting his team together.

Good test for the Seahawks next week on the road in Baltimore...

Picking up 2 D lineman in a week will help.
That ability to rotate fresh bodies in will be helpful as the season goes on.
 
Do teams get comp draft picks for possible rent a player like Williams if they move on in free agency?

I remember in years past, when my beloved Patsies were a good football team that the the compensation for players often revolved around what the comp pick was likely to be. However, I am not sure if that was the case with in-season acquisitions or just he 5th year option types available in the off season.

Currently there is a 7 way tie for most interceptions thrown (8) this season:

  1. Josh Allen
  2. Jimmy Garoppolo
  3. Sam Howell
  4. Jalen Hurts
  5. Mac Jones
  6. Jordan Love
  7. Patrick Mahomes

After yesterday, Geno has 6. Even after the last few crappy games, he's still ranked 13th in QBR overall. I'll take it.

I am fairly sure that the Hawks would get a compensatory pick for Williams if they do not sign him. Internet scuttlebutt says 3rd or 4th round most likely. Though do keep in mind that those picks come at the very end of the round after all other picks have been made.
