College Football 2023

The future Big10 football schedule is out. Take a look at ewe-dub's travel for just conference games:

2023 (this season): 7,528 round-trip miles
2024 (five games): 19,772 round-trip miles
2025 (four games): 16,220 round-trip miles
2026 (five games): 15,128 round-trip miles
2027 (four games): 18,378 round-trip miles
2028 (five games): 19,638 round-trip miles

It will be magnitudes worse for basketball and other sports with both men's both and women's teams making way more than 4 or 5 road trips.

Well if they get an electric plane it shouldn’t impact their carbon footprint too badly

I wonder if this will negatively affect recruiting. Assuming the Cougs are an annual nonconference game....a lot of good football. As a lifelong Husky, I still feel like we prostituted (no spell check...so must be a word) ourselves. We can never complain about travel or possibly a lot of morning games....although better than late night.
Go Dawgs!

But it is not about the schools, it is about TV and advertising. Everybody hated the NCAA and so the TV folks just waltzed right in with a bunch of money and took over...the schools saw the money and were more than willing to take it.
While the NCAA has their issues, and they are big ones to be sure, at least the schools had some input, now they are wholly owned subsidiaries of TV and cable businesses.
This will probably be something that collapses under the weight of itself ,as the younger demographic doesn't consume as much sports, so advertisers will become wary about dropping big bucks on games, and TV will then be unable to pay big numbers to schools.

Book it...
;)

Invest in airline stock. Planes will be full. That is until a northeaster closes down the East coast and multiple games are cancelled. Oopps maybe flight insurance would be better investment...

The No. 8 Oregon Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) and the No. 7 Washington Huskies (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) are on a collision course for a massive rivalry showdown on October 14.

While both teams are on a bye week following wins in week 5, a majority of the Pac-12 attention is now on a huge top-10 matchup set to take place in Seattle.

On Monday, it was announced that the game will kick off in prime time at 12:30 pm PT. The game will be broadcast on ABC.

😍😀

Not picking a team ---> luv them both!

Just want the best team to win in a great, competitive game.

This is practically un American...
'luv' the ducks AND the dachshunds ?
WTAF ?
🤔
Jesus weeps...and will have his vengeance.
😅
Now... if you hated them both, that would certainly be understandable, or if you hated only one of them it would be understandable, or even if you hated one a bit more than the other...again totally understandable.
Not hating either one of them is just a crime against Pac-whatever sports, not to mention just plain unacceptable.
I'm shocked, shocked I say...and going to have to hate them both even more to make up for this complete and utter travesty.
😁

I do really feel sorry for you that you expended so much energy, time, and the last few brain cells that you had on something so simple and meaningless.

May you go in peace and enjoy what is truly more important in life ---> PAC-2.

Sent my annual email to my buddy in Yap that used to pitch for UT baseball team

What I can't wait for is a couple of years down the road, the one person who posted on here of whatever that is that happened (out of the 2153 different opinions) can come back here and say, "see? Told you so! I called it!"

Louisville made both the leprechaun dude and touchdown Jesus cry……😂
Now the 49ers need to take care of business tomorrow night.
